Dear Future Daughter-in-Law,

infant sleepinglow cost ivf

I’m so excited to welcome you to our family, but before we celebrate with a toast, I have a few words to share.

Understanding Our Relationship

First, let’s get one thing straight: I’m his mother. That means before he became your partner, he was mine. Someday, you may find yourself in my shoes as a mother, and you’ll understand the depth of that role. It’s a mix of joy and responsibility that lasts a lifetime. I’m not the best at letting go, but I promise to make an effort, for all our sakes. Just keep this in mind when you feel I’m being a bit too involved.

A Little About Him

As the youngest in our family, we may have indulged your beloved a little too much—he’s got a bit of a babyish streak. You might have seen this already; he tends to prefer things his way and has mastered the art of using those puppy-dog eyes to sway you. I apologize for that! If he ever pushes it too far, a gentle nudge with a rolled-up newspaper might do the trick.

Household Matters

Now, let’s talk about a little household matter. I must admit, I may have contributed to his slight messiness. I always felt it was my duty to keep the house tidy, which left him and his siblings with minimal chores. While I tried to teach them the importance of cleanliness, let’s just say some lessons are harder to learn than others. Picking up his socks was never my favorite task, and I doubt it’ll be yours either.

A Little Secret

On a more serious note, he once told a friend he was allergic to cats. This is a total fabrication! The truth is, he had a rather unfortunate encounter with a neighbor’s cat when he was young, and he’s been terrified of felines ever since. If you’re a cat lover, just keep that little secret in mind.

His Wonderful Qualities

But don’t worry, it’s not all doom and gloom! He is incredibly kind, thoughtful, hardworking, respectful, and has a fantastic sense of humor. I’m sure you’ve noticed these qualities already. And here’s something you might appreciate: he’ll eat just about anything you put in front of him. If you’re a whiz in the kitchen or even just enjoy microwave meals, he’ll treat your cooking like a royal feast. Plus, he’s not one to fuss over housekeeping, so you won’t feel the pressure to maintain a spotless home. And if you enjoy your “me” time, you’ll be pleased to know he’s not into frequent outings, preferring to relax at home—perfect for those solo shopping trips or mini getaways.

Embracing Adulthood

I’ve been eagerly waiting for my youngest to embrace adulthood, and I couldn’t be happier that you’re the one to help him along this journey. Remember, if you ever need to vent, I’m just a call away.

Welcome to the family!

Warmly,
Your Future Mother-in-Law
