Why I Will Never Apologize for the Joyful Noise of My Kids

That shouting? Yep, that’s my crew.
Those infectious giggles? You guessed it — all mine.
That wild cackling? You can thank my kids for that too.
All that noise? It’s ours — and I will never apologize for it.

The sounds that fill our home, whether we’re there or out and about — at the grocery store, in a café, or visiting friends — are simply a testament to our joyful, sometimes chaotic, and occasionally messy family life. We mean no offense; our exuberance is just who we are. And honestly, why should we hold back?

We shouldn’t, and you’re right to think so. Because that noise is a reflection of life — a vibrant, happy life that my kids and I are creating together. It’s also a sign of learning; we’re all discovering more about ourselves and the world around us. Furthermore, it symbolizes courage — I truly hope my children always feel empowered to express their thoughts and passions boldly.

To those who might view our raucous sounds as disruptive or disrespectful, let me clarify:
There is nothing disrespectful about love. And that’s all you’re hearing. You’re listening to me nurture my kids, to the love they share with each other, and to the affection they extend to others. You hear the sounds of children who are meant to be seen and heard, expressing their excitement, curiosity, and a whole spectrum of emotions.

I refuse to apologize for the joyful noise that surrounds us. If you’re a parent too, I encourage you not to apologize either. To those who find our family’s sounds bothersome, I suggest you start making some noise of your own — it’ll drown out what you hear from us, and you’ll find yourself much happier.

In summary, I embrace the joyful noise my kids bring to our lives. It’s a celebration of love, learning, and courage — and I believe we should all do the same.
