Maternity photography is a beautiful way to commemorate the incredible journey of pregnancy. This is especially true for Amanda Mills, whose recent photo shoot is one she will treasure forever. As she prepares to welcome her fourth child, Amanda sought a unique way to celebrate her pregnancy and the joy it brings.

“This is our last planned pregnancy, and after the joy of having three healthy kids and the heartbreak of losing my second child, a little girl named Sophie, in 2015, this moment means everything to us,” Amanda shared with a local news outlet. “Our upcoming baby boy is truly a blessing, and what better way to honor him than with a once-in-a-lifetime photo?”

The perfect photographer for this moment was Amanda’s mother-in-law, Sarah Thompson, owner of Shutterbug Photography. Their special shoot coincided with a remarkable celestial event: a solar eclipse.

“We experienced 99.1 percent totality,” Amanda told the outlet.

The stunning images were taken at Lakeview Park in Georgia, where Amanda and thousands of spectators witnessed the historic eclipse, the first total solar eclipse visible in the U.S. in nearly a century. The eclipse reached full totality in various parts of northern Georgia shortly after 2:30 p.m. that day.

“I used my Canon Mark III with the most affordable lens I had, the Canon 24-105, because I didn’t want to risk damaging my better equipment,” Sarah explained. “I photographed Amanda separately and then captured the eclipse. Since the sun was so high, I merged the two images together later,” she shared on her social media.

The outcome? Stunning photographs that Amanda and her family will cherish forever. For more insight on fertility options, consider checking out this post, which offers helpful tips. Additionally, this resource provides valuable information on pregnancy and home insemination.
