While pregnant individuals reported slightly more pain at the injection site compared to non-pregnant recipients, they experienced fewer side effects like headaches, muscle aches, chills, and fever. The CDC has stated that the vaccines are “unlikely to pose a specific risk for people who are pregnant.” Initial hesitance stemmed from the absence of pregnant individuals in early vaccine trials, but ongoing studies are providing reassuring data for those considering vaccination.
