One of our favorite activities was renting bikes from Beach Bike Rentals in Orange Beach. With their high-quality Electra Lux Cruiser bikes, we explored the extensive trails of Gulf State Park. The friendly staff provided maps detailing points of interest, like a nature center, a butterfly garden, and even ice cream stands.
After cycling, we stopped at The Soda Pop Shop, where the kids had a blast choosing from 77 different bottled sodas.
A visit to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is a must! This compact yet impressive zoo houses over 500 exotic animals and offers budget-friendly ticket prices. The animal encounters, where you can pet lemurs and hold sloths, were a highlight for our kids.
Don’t forget to capture family memories at Alabama Point East during sunset. This picturesque beach spot at Perdido Pass offers stunning views and plenty of unique photo ops, making it a perfect backdrop for your family photos.
If you’re looking for thrills, check out The Park at OWA in nearby Foley. This amusement park features 22 rides, including roller coasters that cater to all ages, ensuring fun for everyone.
Nature lovers will enjoy the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, which is a vital habitat for migratory birds and endangered species. After visiting the refuge center for free discovery backpacks, we hiked along the family-friendly trails.
