This grandmother is certainly adding a cheeky twist to the holiday season with her ornament selection.
Grandmas often have the best intentions, but sometimes their choices take an unexpected turn. Just ask Mike Thompson, a Twitter user from Ireland, who recently shared a hilarious story about his grandmother’s festive ornament blunder.
At first, these ornaments appeared to be typical festive bulbs—just a shade of purple. However, upon closer inspection, Mike discovered that they were far from ordinary. “My 74-year-old grandma bought these Christmas baubles from the local store, and as I was decorating her tree, I suddenly realized that, unbeknownst to her, they are actually lavender glitter G-strings,” Thompson tweeted.
LAVENDER. GLITTER. G-STRINGS. As my own grandmother would say, “Oh bless her sweet little heart.” Mike wasn’t joking; each ornament was neatly packed with lavender thong underwear.
At first glance, they may seem innocuous enough.
Most people might think, “Hmm, Grandma must really be into lavender this year.”
“Except, wait a minute, do these clear plastic ornaments… open? Oh, they do.” Oh yes, they certainly do!
