Throughout my life, I’ve oscillated between being active and sedentary. I’ve never considered myself an athlete, enjoyed working out, or appreciated the sensation of sweat pouring down my face. I work from home, allowing me to create my own schedule, so that excuse is off the table too. Plus, I’m finally getting restful nights of sleep most nights, eliminating yet another excuse.
With my excuses effectively vanishing, I made the decision to whip my 40-something body into shape and truly become “one of those people” who exercise regularly. I wanted to reclaim my body from the demands of motherhood and discover what I was capable of. If I didn’t take action now, when would I?
