Lately, it feels like I can’t escape a flood of motivational quotes and cheerful messages wherever I turn. Facebook nudges me to gaze at the horizon and take off running. Pinterest urges me to cherish every fleeting moment. Twitter reminds me that each dawn brings a fresh start, and I should grab it with both hands.

But honestly? I’m over it.

I’m done with the constant reminders to sprint, savor, scale mountains, and seize the day. Personally, I find immense comfort in lounging on my couch for hours or circling the block for twenty minutes just to find the nearest parking space. When my kids splash in puddles, all I see are the muddy footprints they’ll track into the house; I’m not exactly contemplating the beauty of nature’s rain. And as for the renewal promised by a sunrise? Not so much.
