A few weeks ago, we proudly unveiled The Mid, a platform dedicated to those navigating the delightful chaos of life. Here, we’re all about juggling careers, nurturing families, and managing the daily hustle, all while embracing the excitement of our prime years. Today, I’m thrilled to share some exciting developments regarding the parent company I established last fall, Some Spider, which introduced The Mid to the world.

First up, I’ve brought on board Jamie Richards as our chief operating officer and president. Jamie previously led the digital division at The New York Gazette and served as the general manager of several core digital initiatives, including their flagship website. An esteemed figure in digital media, Jamie has honed their expertise over the past 12 years at what many still regard as one of the most trusted institutions in journalism. Their intelligence and competitive spirit are matched only by their down-to-earth humility. Such core values are what we at Some Spider aspire to embody as we expand.
Jamie will be an invaluable partner as we embark on our mission to rapidly develop our organization and accomplish three essential goals:
- To launch and nurture multiple beloved content and community platforms that inform, inspire, entertain, and support millions.
- To build a robust operational framework and business model that guarantees long-term success.
- To create a workplace that is enjoyable and fulfilling for our team.
Achieving these objectives simultaneously is often easier said than done, as many have cautioned me, but we won’t settle for anything less. A guiding principle from my previous venture, diaperdepot.com, was “find a way,” and that’s precisely the mindset we’ll adopt.
New Acquisitions
