If you have fond memories of the 80s, it’s time to get excited! Disney Junior is bringing back the iconic series, Muppet Babies, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. This nostalgic reboot is set to introduce a new generation of children to the delightful antics of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, and Animal (let’s hope for a Beaker appearance too!).

Originally airing on CBS from 1984 to 1991, the classic series was a Saturday morning staple for many kids. We would eagerly grab our favorite snacks, maybe some cereal, and tune in to watch the adventures unfold. The premise revolves around the baby Muppets living in a nursery and being cared for by Nanny, a character known only by her vibrant striped tights. With their boundless imagination, the babies embark on exciting pretend play adventures that come to life.

The new series features Jenny Rivers, known for her roles in various animated hits, voicing the new Miss Nanny. “I was absolutely thrilled when I learned I would be part of the Muppet Babies revival,” Rivers shared in a behind-the-scenes clip. “As a lifelong fan, this opportunity means the world to me!”

For parents like myself, if I have to sit through cartoons with my little ones, I’d much prefer Muppet Babies over anything else. While other shows have their charm, nothing compares to the humor and warmth of the Muppets, created by the legendary Jim Henson.

Set to premiere on March 23, the show is aimed at children aged four to seven, although I think it will equally delight parents reliving their childhood memories. Each episode will consist of two 11-minute segments filled with laughter and heartwarming moments. If you can’t wait for the big debut, don’t worry! Disney is rolling out a series of shorts titled Muppet Babies: Show and Tell this week to reintroduce the characters to both old fans and new.

Be sure to tune in and share the wonderful world of Muppet Babies with your kids. In summary, the return of Muppet Babies promises to be a delightful experience for children and parents alike, blending nostalgia with fresh, engaging content. Don’t miss out on this charming revival!
