Just a short walk from Market Square, Kaizen is a relaxed Asian restaurant that should be on your must-visit list. With affordable tapas-style small plates, many of which are kid-friendly, everything we sampled was delightful—from mushroom fried rice to octopus fritters. Our kids particularly loved the various steam buns, especially the chicken katsu and tofu options.
OliBea
Be prepared for a wait at this charming eatery in Knoxville’s historic Old City, but I assure you, it’s completely worth it. The menu features seasonal dishes made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, with highlights including fluffy biscuits and a grilled cheese packed with collard greens.

Step into this downtown bistro and experience the charm of Paris. The highlight here is the crepes, crafted with flour imported from France.
