The co-hosts of the Morning Show, Jenna Lee and Mia Thompson, opened up about their unique paths to becoming mothers later in life, highlighting both the challenges and the joys that come with being older parents.

Like many parents, they grapple with feelings of mom guilt and the complexities of achieving a work-life balance. However, they express gratitude for the insights and maturity that accompany their later start to parenthood, having faced the tough reality that conceiving might not have been straightforward.

Lee, 56, is the mother of two daughters, Lily, 6, and Emma, 4. She initially doubted whether motherhood was in her future after undergoing treatment for breast cancer in 2008. Reflecting on that pivotal moment during a conversation with Family Circle, she recalls, “My doctor mentioned freezing my eggs, and it felt like a dead end.”

“I remember crying in my room, thinking that was the end of my dream,” Lee shared. Despite this, she found strength and a different path to motherhood, largely thanks to the support of her partner, Chris Miller, during her first adoption process. “Without Chris, I might not have taken that leap to adopt. His presence made it feel less intimidating,” Lee stated.
