In a moving post, Alyssa shared a video montage of Leo, accompanied by Jhené Aiko’s song “Promises.” She expressed her deep sorrow with an emotional message: “Oh my sweet Leo,” she wrote. “The ache in my arms from holding you is slowly fading, yet it serves as a painful reminder that you’re no longer with us. I find myself glancing into the backseat while driving, only to be met with the empty mirror that no longer reflects your beautiful face. Each time I shut a door too loudly, I brace myself for a soft cry that never comes. The silence is overwhelming.”

Alyssa continued to share memories of their time together, saying, “These past five months have been a journey we embarked on together… You were my motivation. In the darkest hours of the night, your smile gave me strength and joy. We were partners, both determined to overcome whatever came our way. Now, it feels unbearable to continue this race without you.”

She concluded her touching tribute by noting that she is being supported by Leo’s “sister… by God, and by kind strangers encouraging me to keep going. It has truly been an honor to be your mommy. My love for you will last forever.”

Jordan provided further insight into Leo’s health condition earlier in the week. He shared that Leo was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a condition that causes an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in or around the brain. Jordan recalled noticing unusual symptoms, stating, “I always noticed he had a cough, so I wanted to have it checked. By the time he was two months old, I noticed his head was larger than expected. We thought it would be a routine check-up.”

Sadly, Leo’s condition deteriorated over the Thanksgiving holiday, and he passed away on December 5, 2021. After discussing his grief on his show, Jordan shared with the audience, “People keep asking me how I’m holding up; I say, ‘I’m standing, and that’s a good start.’ Yesterday was somewhat easier because I was focused and numb, just getting through the day. Today, I feel more torn and confused. It’s a painful experience.”

Little Leo was only five months old. Our hearts go out to these parents during this incredibly difficult time.
