In light of recent speculation surrounding his candidacy to become the next host of a popular quiz show, Mike Richards, the executive producer with a notable history in television, has confronted allegations stemming from his previous work on another game show. Following the announcement of his potential role as the successor to the late beloved host, fans unearthed allegations related to his conduct during his time at The Price Is Right.

Before joining Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune as an executive producer in 2020, Richards worked on several well-known programs, including The Price Is Right, where he was even considered as a potential host after Bob Barker’s retirement in 2007. However, his tenure at CBS has not been without its share of controversies, as several complaints have recently resurfaced.

Allegations Against Richards

Among the allegations, Richards faced accusations of pregnancy discrimination from a former model on The Price Is Right, who claimed mistreatment during her pregnancy, resulting in personal tragedy. Another model also accused him of sexual harassment. In a notable case from 2010, Brandi Cochran filed a lawsuit alleging that the treatment she received from Richards and other producers was detrimental to her health during her pregnancy, leading to significant emotional and physical challenges. Cochran ultimately won a substantial settlement in 2012.

In another instance, model Lanisha Cole alleged that Richards abruptly ceased communication with her, creating a hostile work environment. Although Richards was ultimately dismissed before her lawsuit was resolved, the show’s producers were implicated in various complaints during his tenure.

Richards’ Response

In response to the resurfaced allegations, Richards sent a memo to his team at Jeopardy!, stating, “These were allegations made in employment disputes against the show. I want you all to know that the way in which my comments and actions have been characterized in these complaints does not reflect
