With our healthcare system under strain, we face delays in responding to all medical emergencies — pandemic or no pandemic.
As you map out your holiday plans, I urge you to think of individuals in your community like Bella who need hospital beds, ventilators, suction supplies, and, above all, the dedicated healthcare professionals who are already stretched thin. This is still the time to prioritize the welfare of the greater community over personal freedoms. I don’t need your thoughts and prayers; I need you to forgo gatherings and stay home.
Please don’t express concern for Bella and others like her while living as if the pandemic doesn’t exist.
