After a long day, the last thing I want to do before collapsing into bed is removing my makeup. I know that skipping this step will leave my skin feeling grimy, my eyelashes brittle, and the inevitable breakouts will surely appear. Yet, despite this knowledge, the exhaustion of motherhood often dampens my motivation to properly cleanse my face.

However, after hearing endless rave reviews from beauty editors and friends, I finally decided to try the Clarisonic Mia 2, which was generously sent to me for review. This electronic cleansing system employs pulsating vibrations and specially designed brushes to tackle various skin concerns, delivering a deep clean that is six times more effective than manual washing.

Using the Mia 2, my skin felt not just cleaner but revitalized. There was no tightness or dryness; just an immaculate, fresh sensation that made me think, “This is what healthy skin should feel like.”

Cleansing my face has transformed from a tedious chore into a quick and refreshing ritual. If I had known the difference this device would make, I would have purchased it years ago.

But the perks don’t stop there. I also had the chance to experiment with a new brush designed for the Mia 2: the Sonic Foundation Makeup Brush, available exclusively on Clarisonic’s website and at Ulta. While the Mia 2 has revolutionized my skincare routine, this makeup brush has completely changed how I apply my makeup.

My bathroom is filled with various makeup products and tools. When I do have the time to apply a full face, I usually rely on brushes to blend my foundation, concealer, bronzer, blush, and highlighter. However, most days, I barely have time for a quick swipe of BB cream and concealer, often using just my fingers. Touching your face with your fingers, by the way, is a myth when it comes to proper application.

The first time I used the Sonic Foundation Makeup Brush, I was amazed at how quickly I could blend my foundation with its spinning brush head. My skin looked flawless—no streaks, no spots. Applying concealer was equally simple; just holding the brush over the targeted area while it spun blended everything seamlessly.

You can even apply your entire makeup look—foundation, blush, bronzer, and highlighter—simultaneously, achieving a well-blended finish in under a minute. As a mom of two young kids, I need every second I can get in the morning, and this tool has been a game changer.

In summary, the Clarisonic Mia 2 and the Sonic Foundation Brush have drastically reduced both my makeup application and removal times. They are now essential tools in my makeup arsenal.
