All of Doug’s grandkids live within a 20-minute drive from him, and their school is only about two to three miles away, making it easy for him to collect them each day before heading to work.
The idea was sparked when his wife, Lucy, asked Doug if he had any “big dreams” he wanted to pursue. “I want a bus to pick up all the grandkids every morning and take them to school before going to work,” he replied. “Just a small bus where we can sing and chat together, creating unforgettable memories.” With that dream in mind, Lucy and Doug collaborated to make it a reality.
After about a month of searching, they found a bus that was already decorated for the children, complete with fun magnets and even numbers on the ceiling. They also added seatbelts for safety.
