As reported by Hollywood Reporter, Freddie’s character is described as “a musician whose career keeps him traveling, yet he remains a devoted dad with lingering chemistry with Punky.” Count us in!

In the reboot, Punky is reimagined as a single mother to three kids, and it will air on NBC’s new streaming platform, Peacock, set to launch in April 2020.
