This film is also important for straight kids—those who may not fully appreciate the internal struggles their friends face. It serves as a poignant reminder about the significance of friendship and the impact of bullying. On the drive home, we discussed one of Alex’s crucial lines: “I should be the one to decide when and how I share my truth; it’s my story to tell!”
