She pauses to examine a fashionable dress on a sale rack, questioning if its flowy design would mask her postpartum figure. “$25 seems steep,” she muses, placing it back with a sigh. Nearby, she hears the laughter of two women, effortlessly browsing with perfectly styled hair and warm lattes. Envy washes over her as she softly exhales, “I really miss that,” while steering her cart toward the diaper section, planting a gentle kiss on her sleeping infant.
