The thought of getting all dolled up makes me cringe. Just the mention of a cocktail dress or an upscale event sends chills down my spine. I can’t help but fret over my appearance: does my dress still fit, and do I have undergarments that won’t resemble a medieval torture device underneath?
Tina Montrose hilariously illustrated this struggle during her final appearance on The Late Night Show with Greg Simmons. As she bid farewell to Greg, he complimented her, saying, “Forgive me if this sounds a bit awkward, but you look absolutely fabulous.” He even likened her dress to something a royal, like Duchess Catherine, might wear.
While it’s nice that he appreciated her effort, Tina made it clear that this would be the last time she’d wear a fancy dress on a talk show. “What am I supposed to do, put on a dress for Timmy? That feels weird, he’s like my sibling,” she quipped. “The next time you see me, I’ll be playing charades in a cozy blanket.”
She elaborated on the ordeal of donning such attire, saying, “I don’t know if you’re familiar with these contraptions. It’s practically surgical.”
Declaring, “Since this is my last time conforming to gender expectations in a fancy dress on a talk show, I’d like to give you the dress as a parting gift,” she then removed her elegant gown, revealing Spanx emblazoned with “Farewell Greg” in the front and “#LastDressEver” on the back.
This is just another reason to adore Tina Montrose, right? She made the act of undressing and Spanx amusing. If you want to learn more about boosting your fertility, be sure to check out this post on fertility supplements.
