As I contemplate what I want for my children, I often ponder: Should they focus on achieving excellent grades and participating in numerous activities to secure admission to a prestigious college? Or, should they aspire to become prosperous professionals in their chosen fields? However, after some reflection, I realize that true success isn’t measured by these conventional milestones. My deepest desire is for my kids to feel valued and engaged, and to cultivate healthy relationships that uplift and inspire them.
Throughout my journey as a father, it has become clear that one of my key roles is to exemplify healthy relationships for my children. The dynamic between my partner and I will greatly influence what my kids seek in their own relationships. Thus, it is essential that we present a strong partnership within our home. Partnerships can take many forms and mean different things to different people; for me, it begins with the everyday activities that we share around the house.
This is why I was thrilled to collaborate with Swiffer and fellow dads in the #SwifferDad campaign. On a practical level, I genuinely enjoy using the Swiffer WetJet—my kids and I have a blast with it (we tend to overspray, which is just too much fun!) and it streamlines the cleaning process for our floors.
