1. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Mom possesses fundamental skills and knowledge to handle her responsibilities effectively. She manages to keep laundry intact and rarely sets the kitchen ablaze during meal prep. She’s adept at dislodging a vacuum packed with a myriad of toy parts and has perfected the art of diaper changes while I dash around the house in a fit of giggles.

This year, she has displayed significant improvement. Now, she can multitask by holding me while juggling 25 other chores! I’ve observed her successfully adjust the thermostat and navigate the TV remote like a pro.

However, her dishwashing and dusting techniques could use a bit of polishing. Other areas for growth are highlighted below. It’s worth noting that when challenges arise, she often seeks help from the Internet… or my Daddy.

2. Quality of Work/Productivity:

Her work is occasionally incomplete or inaccurate, sometimes falling short of team expectations. Her response time to my urgent cries for “SNACK!” can stretch up to 32 seconds, which is a significant delay in toddler terms. The other day, I had to drag my chair down to the ground just to get her attention. She claimed she was cleaning up cookie crumbs, but I suspect it was simply an excuse to lay down for a breather.

Furthermore, I’ve been waiting for days for my favorite shirt and cozy fleece to be freshened up. Imagine my letdown when she finally handed them to me, only to find them wrinkled from her rushed folding technique! It’s clear that Mommy needs to enhance her efficiency. Perhaps we can devise an action plan for the upcoming year.

3. Dependability:

To her credit, Mommy genuinely strives to respond to my whines and basic needs. Unfortunately, she often loses focus, and her responses can be lacking. My persistent requests for “Help!” or “Read to me!” frequently divert her from cooking dinner or tackling laundry.

Moreover, her daily Twitter escapades raise some eyebrows. After all, this diaper won’t change itself! At times, I’ve caught her flipping through a magazine instead of completing essential tasks like cleaning the cat boxes or sorting my socks. While she is entitled to breaks, she already gets bathroom breaks and a mere 10 minutes for meals.

It’s clear that Mommy begins tasks with good intentions, but her follow-through leaves much to be desired. I currently sport a half-finished haircut and several untrimmed toenails due to her abandoning these tasks the moment I threw a tantrum.

4. Communication:

Mommy is a chatterbox, yet she seems to have difficulty grasping my requests. While she understands when I’m thirsty or craving a cookie, when I rummage through the fridge and point, it can take her up to seven tries to meet my demands (for the record, I do NOT like mustard!).

When I request the “Phone” or the “remote,” it’s as if my words go unheard, although she springs into action at the mention of “Poop.” We need to address her selective hearing, as effective communication is crucial for her role in this household. I shouldn’t have to throw a fit to run with a fork or play in the medicine cabinet.

5. Work Relationships:

Mommy consistently expresses her love for me and seeks hugs and kisses, but at times, she struggles to maintain harmony with me AND Daddy. She gets rather tense when we turn our home into a racetrack, even if it’s just until bedtime.

There are moments when I find her quietly crying in a corner during her unscheduled breaks, which leads me to believe she may feel overwhelmed by her colleagues. This behavior is not befitting her esteemed role. She should embrace her co-workers’ diverse perspectives. I firmly believe that with some improvements in this area, she’ll discover her work becomes even more gratifying.
