Let’s take a moment to appreciate that belly of mine. It’s still rounded from nurturing a 9lb 3oz baby for a full 40 weeks.

Look closely at those stretch marks; they are the marks of creating life—three lives, to be precise.

Those swollen fingers? They’re a result of the extra fluid my body held while carrying my last child.

And that fold between my hip and stomach? That’s a new addition. It appeared after my firstborn weighed in at 8lbs 10oz, followed by two others at 9lbs 3oz each. Though it wasn’t there before, it serves as a beautiful reminder that for 30 months, I had two hearts beating within me.

See that baby grinning at me? It’s astonishing, isn’t it? I grew him, loved him, and nurtured him with my own body.

My body has been the vessel for six human lives and has brought three vibrant, full-term babies into this world. It expanded and adapted, providing everything they needed to grow into healthy children.

My body has become a canvas that illustrates the journey of creating three little human beings. It truly is remarkable, my body.

I will never view it with disdain again. I refuse to obsess over my squishy stomach, my stretch-marked thighs, the breasts that have lost their former perkiness, or the way my underwear digs into my hips. I will never again perceive those features as flaws.

Now, I regard my body with admiration, recognizing it for the awe-inspiring entity that it is.

I mean, just think about it: I grow human beings. What’s your superpower?
