Congratulations on becoming a mother! It’s truly a remarkable milestone, isn’t it? The arrival of your little one is an incredible event, and I’m eagerly looking forward to hearing all about it—hopefully tuning in to see every precious moment on your show! You must be feeling an overwhelming surge of love and joy right now.
Friendly Advice from One Parent to Another
As you embark on this new journey, I’d like to share some friendly advice.
First off, while summer is here, remember that newborns typically have a lighter complexion. It’s perfectly normal for your baby to appear a bit pale, so no need to introduce self-tanning products just yet. Who knows, you might even get lucky, and your little one could show signs of jaundice—how interesting would that be?
You may notice that your baby doesn’t have a full head of hair at the moment. This is completely normal! Most infants are born with sparse hair, giving you plenty of time to style that adorable little hairdo we all can’t wait to see!
Regarding fragrances, it’s tempting to want to spritz your little one with scents like Drakkar Noir or Cool Water, but it’s best to wait. Right now, they probably have a delightful natural scent that doesn’t require enhancement—hold off until they start on solids!
Though you’ve just welcomed your baby into the world, I suspect you’ll be back on your feet quite soon. Just a heads up, you might experience some postpartum leakage for a while, so remember to wear your underwear! It would be quite unfortunate to leave traces of your recovery around town.
Best of luck, Mia!
P.S. Contrary to popular belief, breastfeeding does not serve as a form of birth control. Just something to keep in mind!
